Clients ask our us all the time what to wear. We are happy to announce this will be an ongoing series! You will get the inside scoop on why our clients choose certain outfits for their sessions! They worked closely with our Denver boudoir photographers to pick out the best look for their sessions!
Why ask Denver boudoir photographers?
When planning for your session, it is okay to ask your photographer their suggestions on what to wear. Most photographers have been doing this long enough to know what looks good on clients or what looks good in the space your photoshoot will be. Some photographers require a wardrobe consult before your session. Some photographers have an entire closet full of clothes for you to wear. If you are doing a bridal boudoir session, you should check out this guest post we wrote for Lucy Dylan Weddings!
The evening gown
Are there things in your life that define you? This beauty’s life has had music a part of it for as long as she can remember. She plays every day for her job, and this is the gown she typically wears for performances. So, for her session, she wanted to incorporate her evening gown. Her photos in this outfit were edgy and something you could see in Vogue magazine. We also photographed elegantly detailed pictures such as this one.
Robes
You can check out a few of the white lace robes our studio offers by visiting our Denver boudoir photography portfolio. Robes are always great options. They can be layered, worn on their own, or used as props. This beauty brought her white lace robe she planned on wearing the morning of her wedding day. A simple detail that makes for a timeless photograph.
At the beginning of each session our Denver boudoir photographers go through all of your options and decide which outfits you will wear for your session. We want your session to be a collaboration so you get the best photos for your gift.
Bodysuits
Bodysuits of every kind flatter all figures! This beauty loved the idea of bodysuits and loved the way this long-sleeved black bodysuit flattered her figure and arms. You will want to try on all your lingerie before your session to ensure you love the fit and look. We always encourage our clients to take advantage of semi-annual sales at Macy’s and Victoria’s Secret to get some great options for your photo shoot!
In conclusion, bring all things pink!
It’s no secret our Denver boudoir studio has a wood wall that has some pink and purple hues. The color pink is flattering on every body type. It looks great in the studio! Just look at the pink bra and the wood accent wall pictured above. We are loving this series and can’t wait to share more client stories with you.
