It’s about that time of the year! Outdoor boudoir photography season is around the corner. I’m so excited to get back into the outdoors and create some stunning photographs for boudoir and maternity!
We figured since we get so many questions about outdoor. boudoir photography that we would tackle some of the biggest questions in a blog post!
Do you offer outdoor boudoir photography mini sessions?
This is one of the most common questions we get. Yes, we do offer mini sessions outdoors! Outdoor mini sessions take some planning and a little bit more driving, so that package reflects those obstacles. Although we don’t look at them as obstacles, we look at them as epic adventures into the beautiful outdoors! When we do outdoor boudoir we do it! We go hiking to find the perfect hidden spot so you can have all the privacy you need for your session. We have several places where we shoot that are perfect for any outdoor boudoir session.
Can you do the session in the city?
Yes, we have done urban outdoor boudoir photography! We always tell our clients we will be comfortable wherever you are. With that said, that may include breaking some rules to get to the perfect place, but that’s why you wanted something outside the studio! Shooting in urban areas does bring on its own set of obstacles, such as lookie-loo’s, and getting kicked out.
Do you offer hair and makeup for outdoor sessions?
Yes and no. With our full collections, we will find a stylist that works out of a salon and you can go to them. There is the option of having them come to you or you to them. If none of those options doesn’t work then we are more than happy to offer you a discounted rate on one of our full collections.
At this time we do not offer hair and makeup options for mini sessions. We are looking into offering makeup only for mini sessions soon so contact the studio to find out when it’s available.
What do I wear to an outdoor boudoir photography session?
Just because the session is outdoors don’ts mean you don’t need to treat it like a normal boudoir session. Where what you want! Be confident in what you wear just in case people see you. You will be given a list of things to bring to the session because you know, it’s outdoors and you need to be prepared!
Why is the price different for outdoor mini sessions?
As we mentioned before outdoor boudoir photography comes with a little bit more planning and traveling. There are also more photos included in the outdoor mini sessions! It shouldn’t be about the price difference, it should be about the experience.
We understand more than everyone that we may not be a good fit for every woman and that’s okay! Every boudoir experience is memorable and we hope it shows in our work. We have always believed that every woman should have a boudoir experience and boudoir mini sessions allow us to do that!
