Outdoor Boudoir Photography

Sometimes deciding on location for your boudoir photo shoot really depends on the style of your boudoir photographer. Some boudoir photographers don’t offer outdoor boudoir photo shoots for various reasons and others will only do outdoor sessions.

Here at Fine Art Boudoir we love outdoor boudoir and we love our Denver boudoir studio! We have photographed plenty of outdoor sessions because we are based in Colorado and if you’re an outdoor kind of gal there’s no better place then being outside!

We typically don’t start scheduling outdoor boudoir photography sessions until mid-May in Colorado due to the fact the weather can be a little unpredictable. When we travel for outdoor sessions we base our scheduling on the state we’re traveling and what our client is up for.

We have plenty of locations in and around the front range which are a little bit secluded and we love shooting on property you own or can access to with no issues! Being creative outside is something we absolutely love because sometimes you have to think outside the box when the weather changes, the location isn’t perfect that day, or someone crashes our party! We adapt and make the best of it and we still walk away with plenty of timeless boudoir pictures that will last a lifetime.

Denver Boudoir Studio Location

Boudoir studio sessions are the most common boudoir photo shoot location. Most boudoir photographers have access to a studio, share or have their own studio. Every boudoir studio is different in the way they run their studio. At Fine Art Boudoir we don’t have “sets” we have set time limits and use that time to make a variety of beautiful photos. We always encourage our clients not to worry about what the background looks like because the photo isn’t about the background it’s about you!

We love shooting in our studio because let’s face it… that’s the whole reason we got a place to call our own! Our Denver boudoir studio also offers same-day viewings and it’s much easier to do this at the studio instead of a coffee shop or at your home (in case we are on a strict timeframe)!

All of our current packages include hair and makeup and those sessions are done in-studio. If you would like hair and makeup included in your outdoor studio please let us know because our stylist in most cases will need to come to you. We do offer a little bit of a discount on boudoir sessions outside because typically clients arrange their hair and makeup trials around the session time. Boudoir studio sessions times always start with hair and makeup at the studio!

What about a boudoir hotel photo shoot?

Since opening up the Denver boudoir studio in 2016 we have not done a ton of hotel sessions because everyone likes to save a little bit of money and shoot at the studio. We do, however, shoot in homes and hotels when traveling. If you book your own hotel that’s great, but we are also happy to shoot in the hotel room we have already arranged for ourselves during our stay.

Don’t be surprised when we walk into the hotel room and completely rearrange it! Don’t worry we will put everything back! We like the stripped down look because we’ve mentioned before it’s not about the background… it’s about you! We do get asked a lot if our clients will have the same experience at a hotel vs the studio and the answer is always yes! You can still have hair and makeup and still have the same style boudoir pictures to choose from!

What about home boudoir sessions!

We have found a lot of our clients are really comfortable being in their own home and setting and we do arrange for the stylist to come and see you as well! Home boudoir photography sessions can be a little trickier to schedule, but we get them done and your significant other never knows…. well, until they get the photos, lol!
